Position Overview
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, delivering excellent guest service, maintaining compliance with UAE/GCC food, beverage and licensed alcohol service standards, and ensuring the bar operates efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Service
Prepare and serve classic and specialty cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, mocktails, and other beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Use bar equipment (shakers, jiggers, blenders, etc.) safely and correctly.
Ensure accurate drink proportions, garnishes, and presentation.
Guest Interaction & Service
Greet guests warmly and take drink orders professionally.
Recommend beverages based on guest preferences.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest questions, complaints, or special requests.
Check identification to verify the legal drinking age in accordance with UAE /GCC regulations.
Bar Operations
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the bar station and work areas throughout shifts.
Restock bar inventory and supplies; monitor inventory levels and report shortages.
Assist with bar setup, closing, and breakdown as required.
Prepare garnishes, stock mixers, and ice for efficient service.
Cash Handling & POS Operations
Take and process beverage orders using the POS system.
Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and balance tills at shift end.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to health, safety, hygiene, and licensed alcohol service standards.
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and responsibly refuse service when necessary.
Teamwork
Collaborate with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Assist in training new or junior bar staff when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume bar, restaurant, or hotel environment (typically 1–3+ years).
Skills
Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, classic cocktails, and mixology techniques.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Comfortable with cash handling and POS systems.
Education & Certification
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or bartending certificate is an advantage.
Language
Good command of English is essential; additional languages (e.g., Arabic) are a plus.
