Food & Beverage Supervisor

Position Overview
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily service operations across assigned outlets (restaurants, bars, cafés, banquets), ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining quality, hygiene, and compliance standards, and supporting team development to achieve operational excellence in line with UAE/GCC hospitality expectations.
Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager or Assistant F&B Manager
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily food and beverage service operations to ensure high standards of service delivery.
Supervise, coordinate and support the F&B service team on the floor to maintain smooth, efficient and professional service.
Assist with mise-en-place, restaurant setup, opening/closing procedures, and service readiness in line with outlet standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and UAE/GCC HACCP standards in all service areas.
Guest Engagement
Provide warm, professional welcome to guests and support guest inquiry resolution.
Monitor guest experiences and proactively handle complaints or escalations, reporting unresolved issues to management.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menus, beverages, and service sequences to assist guests and drive satisfaction.
Team Development
Train, coach, and mentor service staff on menu knowledge, service techniques, service standards, and brand procedures.
Promote teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to grooming and conduct standards.
Monitor and support staff performance and conduct briefings and training sessions as needed.
Inventory & Cash Handling
Assist with stock control, par levels, inventory checks, and proper storage practices to reduce waste and ensure availability.
Handle POS operations, cash floats, billing and payment reconciliation according to established procedures.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain service standards and ensure operational spaces are clean, organised, and compliant with safety and hygiene policies.
Promote adherence to company SOPs, fire safety, health, and environmental policies.
Participate in regular meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
High school diploma required; Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of F&B experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume F&B outlet.
Skills & Knowledge
Excellent customer service and communication skills (English required; additional languages a plus).
Strong leadership, coaching, and time-management skills.
Familiarity with POS systems, inventory control, and basic financial procedures.
Good understanding of the UAE/GCC states food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
