CCTV Operator / Hotel Security Surveillance Officer

Position Overview

The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring hotel premises via closed-circuit television (CCTV), maintaining security surveillance, and reporting any suspicious or unauthorized activity. The role ensures the safety of guests, staff, and property and supports hotel security operations in compliance with UAE/GCC regulations and hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

CCTV Monitoring & Surveillance
  • Monitor hotel premises, including guest areas, back-of-house, entrances/exits, parking lots, and restricted areas via CCTV systems.
  • Detect and report suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards immediately.
  • Maintain continuous surveillance and ensure cameras are functioning properly.
  • Assist security team in responding to incidents and emergencies.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Record and maintain accurate logs of security incidents, observations, and daily activities.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports for management review.
  • Maintain records of CCTV footage as per hotel policy and legal requirements.
  • Assist in internal investigations by providing video evidence when required.
Security & Safety Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with UAE/GCC labour and safety regulations, fire safety, and security policies.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment, security breaches, or safety hazards immediately.
  • Assist with hotel-wide emergency procedures (fire, evacuation, or guest safety incidents).
  • Follow data protection and privacy policies when handling CCTV footage.
Operational Support
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Support hotel security team during high-profile events, VIP visits, or special functions.
  • Perform routine checks of security systems, alarms, and access control devices.
Teamwork & Communication
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with security personnel and management.
  • Attend team briefings, training, and drills.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues during peak periods or emergencies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in security or surveillance preferred.
Experience
  • 1–3 years of experience as a CCTV Operator, Security Officer, or Surveillance Officer, preferably in hotels or commercial properties in the UAE/GCC.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and hospitality security standards is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems, security monitoring software, and alarm systems.
  • Strong observation, alertness, and attention to detail.
  • Basic IT/computer skills for operating surveillance and reporting systems.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and during emergencies.
  • Understanding of UAE/GCC safety and security regulations.
Language
  • English communication skills required; Arabic or additional languages advantageous.
